As this event will take place in a Pub, we ask that everyone be respectful of their fellow players and keep drinks and food at a safe distance from theirs and their opponent’s cards. The Cards Vault and Louks are not responsible for any damages incurred to participant’s cards and/or accessories should an accident occur.
As Commander is the current fan favourite for casual MTG events, we figured this would be the obvious choice for our first event. Players will compete in single-elimination rounds of 3-5 players (depending on player attendance), the winner of each match up will move on to the next round until a winner is determined. The number of players per match up and and the amount of rounds will depend on the number of participating players.
In an attempt to keep this as casual as possible we will be implementing a Commander Power Level of 1-4, however, we recommend playing with a level 3-4 deck to be evenly matched against your opponents. No level 5 decks are permitted for this event. Please consult the link below for information on Commander Power Levels. DECK LISTS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED BUT PLEASE DISCLOSE YOUR “GAME CHANGERS” BEFORE YOU MATCH AND PROXIES ARE PROHIBITED.

Our prizing structure is also designed to encourage participation and aim towards having a good time, over competition. Rest assured, we will host competitive events in the future but for our first MTG event we want to keep it as accessible as possible.

Everyone gets $5 to spend at Louks and 1x Tarkir: Dragonstorm Play Booster Pack
